After completing a degree in Statistics and dabbling in the corporate world I decided to take a gap year and teach ESL in Asia. This gap year put me on the path to rediscovering a passion of mine, teaching. In Asia I worked for the biggest private ESL school in Taiwan, an organization that expects absolute commitment and dedication from its teachers. In return teachers are provided with rigorous training and coaching in teaching ESL, which ultimately benefits the students.
Since departing from Asia I’m still strongly involved in the ESL world and working with ESL students in various capacities. My core philosophy of teaching is keeping things student-centered, I work beside my student as a coach. The success and development of my students is something I personally take joy in.
I’ve taught ESL to the full spectrum of ages and abilities, from beginners with the most basic of foundations to upper level executives. My former students have described me as passionate, supportive and demanding.
